On Saturday, September 13th the Friends of Higley Flow State Park will be holding a festival to celebrate the Park and introduce people to its facilities and attractions. While the summer camping season will have ended, the Park remains a destination for other activities. The events are a chance to support the work of the Friends, learn more about the Park, and have some fun.
There’s a lot to see and enjoy at Higley. The events are planned to help you get to know the Park, and help raise the funds needed to continue the improvements and public availability of Park facilities..
Get to know Higley Flow State Park and support one of the finest public places in the North Country.
Donation to Friends of Higley Flow State Park: $20 for adults / $10 for teens. Kids under 12 free. Family max. $40
Draft Schedule of Events
- 8 AM : Registration
- 9 AM: 5 and 10K runs begin near Trails Lodge
- 10:30 AM: Kid’s fun run (~1k) from Trails Lodge
- 10:30 AM: Road bike 50k ride starts from Lodge parking lot at – maps and cue sheets provided
- 10:45 AM: Shorter road bike ride on Park paved camp loops (distance approx 4.2 mi.)
- 11:00 AM Yoga
- 11:00 AM Bike Rodeo for kids under 12 – at the Beach
- 11:30 AM: Guided walk on Park trails – probably Beaver Pond loop
- (tentative) Historical talk in the Lodge
- (tentative) Kayaking from the new launch at the beach
- Ongoing… Tortoise Experience
- Ongoing… Nature Activity for kids
