Ed Fuhr

The Park and the Friends organization lost a good friend on Monday. Ed Fuhr passed away peacefully at home, as he wanted, surrounded by his family.

Ed was there from the beginning of the formation of the Friends, and several years before that, grooming a trail system he sought to develop and enlarge.

Calling hours are Monday from 12-3 at Buck Funeral Home Colton, celebration of life at 3, refreshments afterward, tentatively in the fire station community room. In lieu of flowers those wishing to do so may make a donation to the Friends online or by mail, P.O. Box 249, Colton.

He will be missed by everyone, none more so than myself, after working and playing together for over 56 years, negotiating life’s peaks and valleys.
