On Saturday, September 13th the Friends of Higley Flow State Park will be holding a festival to celebrate the Park and introduce people to its facilities and attractions. While the summer camping season will have ended, the Park remains a destination for other activities. The events are a chance to support the work of the Friends, learn more about the Park, and have some fun.
Starting at 10:30am, the Road bike 50k ride starts from Lodge parking lot at - maps and cue sheets provided. The Friends of Higley Flow State Park anticipate a robust winter season this year. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing the trails at Higley are a way for families to get outside in the fresh, crisp air of the winter months.
In preparation for the season, the Friends will host a trails day at the Park from 9:00 A.M. to approximately 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 1st. The purpose of the workday is to put the trails in the Park into top shape for winter cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
On Sunday November 30 at 1:00 in the Trails Lodge, please come decorate the holiday tree! We want to update our holiday vibe in the LODGE and we need your help. We would like every family or individual to bring an ornament to add to our new tree. Enjoy some hot cocoa and a treat....
