The Friends of Higley Flow State Park anticipate a robust winter season this year. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing the trails at Higley are a way for families to get outside in the fresh, crisp air of the winter months.
In preparation for the season, the Friends will host a trails day at the Park from 9:00 A.M. to approximately 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 1st. The purpose of the workday is to put the trails in the Park into top shape for winter cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
On Saturday, September 13th the Friends of Higley Flow State Park will be holding a festival to celebrate the Park and introduce people to its facilities and attractions. While the summer camping season will have ended, the Park remains a destination for other activities. The events are a chance to support the work of the Friends, learn more about the Park, and have some fun.
The "I Love My Park Day" event at HFSP will be Saturday, May 3rd from 9:00A.M. until 1:00P.M. This is the morning when volunteers lend a hand on projects to put the Park's trails and camping areas into tip top shape for the coming season. It is one of two annual volunteer days at the...
